10.22.23 Dubuque Renters First

Table Mound residents and other renters of Dubuque are convening to brainstorm how we're going to address issues with housing across the city. We're going to layout first steps on how we're going to hold Impact Communities (Table Mound ownership group) accountable. We're also going to make a plan to move the Dubuque People's Housing Agenda.

What is the Dubuque People's Hosuing Agenda?

• Make pest control costs the responsibility of owners
• Eliminate application fees
• Expand the housing dept and hire more inspectors
• Educate the public on tenant rights according to federal, state, and local laws
• Develop and prioritize more mixed income housing in the downtown and North end
