7.22.25 Tour of CIWW facility in Des Moines

Join me for a tour of the Central Iowa Water Works facility in Des Moines on Tuesday, July 22 at 9:00am. There are a limited number of spots available so grab one while you can!

Details to know - 

• How many people can participate in a group tour? Minimum of 10; up to 20 is manageable for one tour guide.
• Can parents bring their kids? No, children are not allowed on treatment facility tours.
• How long is the tour? Plan for up to 2 hours. The tour is about 90 minutes, but allow for arrival, parking, and check-in.
• Safety is the priority. The tour involves walking in a plant environment and outside conditions. Comfortable walking shoes and appropriate clothing for both indoors and outdoors are required.
• Participants must park outside the security gate in Water Works Park and walk into the security gate. Each participant must show photo identification to the security guard. The tour guide will meet you at the security gate when you arrive to check in.
• No photography or video is allowed inside the treatment plant.
