11.22.25 Marshalltown Clean Water
Come join us in our continued fight for clean water in the state of Iowa November 22th from 2PM to 3:30PM at the Marshalltown public library.
What Iowa lacks when it comes to our water crisis is political will. That's were everyday people, like you and me, come in.
We are building out our campaign for clean water in 2026 focusing on the middle iowa watershed starting in Marshalltown. There are three legislative priorities that we think are most important in improving water quality in the state. Firstly a restoration in funding our nitrate monitoring network which was cut by 75% earlier this year, secondly increasing funding for our state geologist to fully map our auqafers, and finally increasing funding for local conservation to protect and improve water quality and quantity.
Anybody who is concerned about water quality and corporate ag's stranglehold on policymaking in Iowa is encouraged to attend and help us build out our network and to share your ideas on how we can achieve these goals. We can only take on the big guys when we organize our people power, so invite your friends and neighbors!
