4.13.21 Medicare for All: what it is and how we win it

Registration is closed for this event
Join Iowa CCI and local activists online to learn more about Medicare for All, how we got to this point in the campaign for healthcare for all, and what we can do locally to amplify the nationwide movement for Medicare for All. We'll be joined by Melinda St. Louis from Public Citizen about how we can replicate local efforts across the country here in eastern Iowa.

On March 17, 2021 Representative Pramila Jayapal introduced the Medicare for All Act of 2021. This transformative piece of legislation would finally guarantee healthcare to all by eliminating the need for private insurance. No more networks, deductibles, premiums or copays. And a whole host of services covered not currently under traditional Medicare.

Join us online Tuesday, April 13 at 6pm to hear more about the fight for universal healthcare, basics of the new Medicare for All bill, and what we can do locally to grow the nationwide movement to get profits out of healthcare. Hosted by Iowa CCI and local Johnson county activists, with special guests from Public Citizen - a nonprofit consumer advocacy organization founded in 1971 that champions the public interest in the halls of power.
