9.13.22 Make Meds Affordable teach-in

The Inflation Reduction Act recently passed by Congress takes initial steps to control rising drug costs, but more action is needed. We need to diminish the power of monopolies in the pharmaceutical sector - and we can do this without the need for new legislation! Health and Human Services secretary Xavier Becerra can use existing law to break patent monopolies on drugs like insulin, Paxlovid, Symbicort and others. But he has yet to act.
