2026 Legislative Session - Farm & Environment Monthly Organizing Meeting
We will be coming together each month through the end of the legislative session to learn about the issues related to land & water, get updated on progress on these issues at the statehouse, and strategize about next steps.
On January 29th we will be joined by Kat Ruane. Kat Ruane is a researcher at Food & Water Watch, where she produces reports and fact sheets for organizing campaigns. She has covered a number of national and state issues and is the author of several pieces on factory farm gas and Iowa’s water quality crisis. She most recently worked on FWW’s new map displaying the locations of all anaerobic digesters operating in California’s Low-Carbon Fuel Standard Program. At this meeting she will give an overview of factory farm biogas and how the Low-Carbon Fuel Standard is driving factory farm expansion across the country.
RSVP to join us then share this meeting with others who care about creating a better food & farm system!
