2.13.24 Homesick book talk with Iowa CCI and Brendan O'Brien

Registration is closed for this event
Tuesday, February 13th from 6-7pm we'll be talking housing with author of Homesick, Brendan O'Brien at River Lights Book Store

"A deeply researched, insightful look at the housing crisis, and what it means when we view homes as investments. If you've ever wondered why trying to afford this basic human need is so difficult, Homesick will make you feel furious, guilty, and hopeful about the state of housing as a human right." --Blythe Roberson, author of America, the Beautiful?

Across the country, a level of unaffordable housing that once seemed unique to global cities like New York and San Francisco has become the norm, with nearly a third of all US households considered housing cost burdened. We're joining author Brendan O'Brien to talk about housing in Iowa and more specifically in Dubuque. We're in the midst of a nationwide housing crisis and we need to talk about it, act on it, and address this issue.

Copies of Homesick will be available for purchase and a portion of your purchase will support our organization and work in Dubuque!
