Get excited! In August, we're starting out by reading WATER by Jennifer Wilson, an award-winning, Des Moines-based author. It's an incredible introduction to Iowa's water quality issues -- packaged in "sexy thriller" that you won't want to put down.
Our vision: We'd love to see CCI Clean Water Book Clubs pop up all over the state! We're hoping this is a good excuse to gather, an enjoyable way deepen our understanding of an an important and complex issue, and a chance to build connection and community. We also want to help plug folks into a book club if they don't want to host.
The plan: Read the book and have at least one book club gathering in August. Then, we'll join together for a call with the author on Thursday, August 31 on Zoom.
