10.9.17 Des Moines City Council Meeting - Welcoming City

Registration is closed for this event

Immigrant and refugee families in Des Moines can't afford to wait another day; federal immigration agencies are on our doorstep now.

Join us on Monday at the Des Moines City Council meeting and demand they move forward with the Welcoming City resolution!

It's been four months since Mayor Cownie and the Des Moines City Council began looking into the Welcoming City resolution -- an important step to protect the public safety of immigrants and refugees.

With Trump's ending of DACA, his pardoning of AZ Sheriff Arpaio, and the looming mass raids scheduled for mid-September -- families are terrified.

We can't just sit by and let this happen. WE NEED YOU WITH US MONDAY.

A large turnout of people ups the pressure on our City Council to take action immediatly, and sends an important #IowaIsWelcoming message to the press and elected officials.

Can you be there?
